About Train the Work-Based Trainer
Training is an investment in the future of the company and its employees. Managers are understandably concerned about the payback. Building skills and improving knowledge helps companies stay competitive and the immediate benefits of training are generally described in the course overview. However, if there is a larger group to train than the budget will allow, a company may benefit from training the trainer, which will enable them to leverage their training investment, often in ways that are not obvious.
There is an ancient Chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to catch fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Training the trainer is like teaching a man to fish. Train one trainer and they have the ability to impart their knowledge to many within their own organisation.
This workshop is designed for new and improving trainers and anyone who trains or instructs others in the workplace.
Train the Work-Based Trainer Programme is available as an onsite cost-effective alternative to our regular public training courses held at our training centres in Reading and Solihull.

The benefits?
Very often the best people to train others in company specific tasks are those that are already doing the job. Instead of relying on one individual to go through a lengthy training process, you can build a team of instructors, so your training initiatives can be accomplished in a shorter amount of time. At the same time, you're giving your trainers tools concerning not only what to teach, but how to teach.
